A Solid Man is intentional.
He lives on purpose. He knows what he needs to do in order to get what he wants. He humbly acknowledges that he is not where he wants to be and so he engages in the practices to get him moving toward his goals.
Think of the best athletes in the world who would keep developing skills and honing abilities. Practice will get you where you want to be. Here are the five practices of a Solid Man.
1) Anchoring;
What am I doing to consistently and intentionally CONNECT with my true source of life? How am I living out TRUST by relying on my source of life for all I need? How do I continually ABIDE through developing and engaging in my Daily Practice?
2) Remembering;
What am I doing in my life to REMEMBER my True Identity; my True Name, to Reclaim my True Narrative and to Settle my Questions about my Identity? How am I intentionally centering my identity on internal realities rather than from external expectations?
3) Self-Caring or O2 Mask Work;
What am I doing to make sure I am living from a position of strength in order to love others well? In what ways am I caring for my heart, for my body and for myself; # of connections with support men this week, # of times this week I exercised, level of nutrition, sleep, hobbies, Overtly asking for what I need and want, etc…
4) Living From the Heart;
I what ways am I intuitively and intentionally living from my heart instead of analyzing from my head? How have I been aware of my deeper emotions and wants allowing them to guide me rather than anger/frustration/worry? How have I allowed myself to be open and vulnerable to what life has to offer me in the present, rather than worrying about the future or regretting the past?
5) Creating;
What am I doing to create the life I really want and to become the man I want to be? How am I creating my home to be an environment of safety, love and acceptance? How am I creating a relationship where we are connected, open, honest and meeting each other’s needs/wants? What am I doing to develop my career to become what I want and need?
Engaging in these practices will get you where you want to be. Don’t give up.
